At Delamar Traverse City, we are especially thrilled to be in the heart of the local celebration, and we even have some special events of our own!
There is a lot of fun to be held this New Year’s Eve in Traverse City and the best part is you have plenty of options on how to spend the day leading up to the count-down. From classic ball drops to indulgent dining, Traverse City will leave your eyes twinkling as 2022 arrives:
The CherryT Ball Drop
To start with a classic, the CherryT Ball Drop is the quintessential Traverse City New Year’s experience. Watch a giant glowing cherry descend to signify the new year before celebrating beneath the night sky illuminated by fireworks.
Not only does The CherryT Ball Drop provide a fantastic experience, it also provides a fundraising opportunity towards a good cause – hence the name CherryT, or charity. During your attendance, you may contribute donations towards the Food Rescue of Good Will NMI. Bring warm clothes as the night will be chilly, but you’ll be sure to leave with a warm heart!
Wine, Spirits, & Cider
Experience the spirit (pun intended!) of Traverse City leading up to midnight by tasting the rich and expansive collection of wine and spirits of the region! Some of our favorite places to visit are:
The Little Fleet: Grab a drink and taco at The Little Fleet for their New Year’s Eve celebration! Enjoy delicious cocktails, listen to music, and wear something sparkly for a night to remember.
Byrs Estate: Head over to Byrs Estate on New Year’s Eve between 11am-5pm for a delightful wine tasting experience. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome.
Taproot Cider House: Sip on cider or take one to go at Taproot Cider House. Warm up at this rustic spot as you enjoy farm-to-table ciders, listen to folk tunes, and celebrate with a champagne toast at their New Year’s Eve party!
