Spring Menu at Artisan

There’s a lot we’re proud of here at the Delamar Southport: the elegance of our guest rooms and suites, the variety of our complimentary amenities, the quality of our much-loved spa. No question, though, that one of the features we’re very proudest of is our Artisan Restaurant, Tavern & Garden: a fabulous outlet for seasonal farm-to-table cuisine, presented through a New England lens.

At Artisan, you eat with the seasons, and we’re happy to announce—as we’re sure you’re happy to hear—that spring has most definitely sprung here along the Long Island Sound. To celebrate the bounty of the freshly arrived season, we’ve got some brand-new dishes debuting on the menu—so come on over and bring that appetite of yours!

Artisan’s New Spring Menu

What’s shuffling on to the culinary stage at Artisan this spring? A whole lot of seafood succor, that’s what. Joining the irresistible lineup of appetizers is grilled octopus—zestily accompanied by truffle-mascarpone, farro, watercress, and pumpkin-seed dressing—as well as crab-stuffed jumbo shrimp, served alongside avocado, petite cress, and citron pan jus.

New entrees include squid-ink linguini with Manila clams (in a heady sauce made from white wine, saffron, and tomato broth), Chatham cod (backed up by baked butter beans, kale, and preserved lemon), and Scottish salmon “a la plancha,” happily sharing space on your plate with French green lentils, asparagus, and salsa verde.

And for you cheese fanatics: Get set for some Buffalo burrata, a worthy spring addition to our local offerings from Fairfield.

These edible springtime arrivals only accentuate the year-round deliciousness that defines Artisan Restaurant, Tavern & Garden. Under the steady helm of Chef Frederic Kieffer, our very own eatery knocks it out of the park for any meal—whether you’re coming for a quick bite, a date night, or a leisurely family meal.
