At less than 125 miles from Boston and New York City the posh, and distinctively smart Delamar West Hartford serves guests a European-chic boutique hotel experience
It’s obvious in all three Delamar Hotels, that the owner loves art. The West Hartford property has partnered with the New Britain Museum of Art, which sends over a small curated selection 2 or 3 times a year. When I stayed, an array of Ansel Adams photos were affixed to one lobby wall.
If you’re looking for a short, relaxing trip to escape from New York City, take a weekend getaway at the Delamar Hotel & Spa in Greenwich Harbor or West Hartford, Connecticut. Aside from being close to New York City, both properties are self-contained with restaurants and spas, so there’s no need to leave. It’s a perfect way to ease back into travel after being stuck in New York City during the pandemic.
The Delamar West Hartford Hotel, which has been closed to the public but housed some essential workers over the past few months, was ready to welcome guests. There were ample supplies of hand sanitizer stationed throughout the lobby, and plexiglass at the counter, but other than that the lobby looked as elegant as ever.
DELAMAR Hotels in West Hartford, Southport and Greenwich Harbor, CT, which have remained open through the pandemic to accommodate essential workers, will be welcoming back leisure guests on June 17th. The hotels will redefine luxury in the post-COVID era, having undergone modifications and adopted enhanced cleaning protocols to ensure guest safety and comfort. While amenities have been streamlined, DELAMAR hotels continue to stand apart with their posh, art-filled interiors and provide an exemplary guest experience reflective of the luxury brand.
